Do you travel?

Absolutely! We love to travel and traveling for my job is even better. We would love to talk to you more about your wedding, whether its two hours from my home, across the country or even in a different one! Also we've incorporated all my packages with travel expenses so you don't have to worry about it!

Where should we do our engagement photos?

Think about something that you enjoy as a couple, may it be nature, sailing, the city life, etc. and we can come up with a location based on your choices. We are happy to give suggestions and help you plan for your session.

What should we wear for our engagement session?

Rule #1 – Have fun with it! You want to be you in your photos, so stay true to your style.  Black and white may be slimming, but they can also be very boring. Really take the time to find the perfect outfits, something that will complement each other, but still reflects your style. This will be the only time that you will take engagement photos, so have fun and dress up more than normal. Choose bright, bold colors mixed with neutrals to give you a modern yet classic feel. Also, don’t forget about the power of shoes, jewelry, hair and makeup. Also, if you book one of my high-end packages, which come with an engagement session, it also comes with wardrobe styling.

How do I book you for mY wedding day?

The best way is to set up a consultation where we can discuss the details of your wedding and we can make sure that all of your needs are met. If for some reason you are not able to schedule a consultation due to distance or time, we can always make time to chat on the phone or Skype. If you are ready to sign at the meeting, We’ll have a contract ready for you there. Otherwise, we'll will email you one that you can fill out and return with you 50% retainer. Once we've receive both the contract and the retainer, your wedding date is reserved.

I’ve signed contract and paid the retainer now what?

After we’ve received your contract and retainer we’ll email you a detailed invoice with your package and payment information. If your package comes with an engagement session we’ll talk to set up a time/date that works best for all of us. Its best to get a date on my calendar as early as possible as we do tend to book up at certain times of the year. As your wedding day gets closer, we’ll start to discuss the timeline of your day and what would be best for the lighting that day. Depending on your ceremony time and the time of year can greatly affect the lighting in your photos, and we want to make sure we get the best we can! Within a week of the wedding we will contact you for a detailed timeline. But of course, you can email me at any time to discuss ideas, times, options, or just chat! we am more than happy to help.

DO YOU EAT AT THE RECEPTION? AND WHERE DO YOU SIT?

Per my contract, we do require a meal at the reception if one is served. And if possible, we always like to eat when your bridal party eats, so that when you’re done eating, we've done, and then we can start shooting again as you mingle with your guests. We prefer to sit somewhere where we have a good view of the head table, that way we can see you two if something important starts to happen (example: toasts, kisses, etc.).

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?

For engagement sessions the turnaround time is typically 1-2 weeks, and for weddings, please allow 1-3 weeks. However, we do provide proofs for viewing within 12 hours of your special day.

WHY ARE YOU SO INTERESTED IN NATURAL LIGHTING?

Natural lighting is a wedding photographer’s best friend. Wedding photography involves fast-paced, constantly changing situations. There may not be enough time to get out artificial lighting in every situation and location. The less time we have to spend setting up lighting, the more time we have to shoot your wedding. Carefully plan your ceremony and reception time to ensure you have beautiful, natural light, whether you are indoors or outdoors. It will make all the difference in your photos!

IF THE WEDDING/BRIDE IS RUNNING LATE, IS THERE A CHARGE?

Time is an intricate part of our operation as you can imagine. It is paramount that we stick to time caps and therefore charge $100 per hour for every additional hour your event extends. Our contract provides a detailed overview of this policy along with other important terms concerning payment as well as ‘the unforeseen’. We take a moment during our consultations to walk through these features in detail with our clients for the enforcement of a smooth efficient and pleasing experience the whole way through.

DO YOU PROVIDE PRINTS WITH EACH PACKAGE?

In order to make our services as affordable as possible to our clients we do not include printing on our collections. However, we do have a premiere printing service that comes with mounted/frames images contact directly for additional cost and pricing quote.
